Robson Ranch is a growing Active Adult community with just under 2500 homes currently. The Robson Ranch Woodworking Club is just one of the many activities available to residents and is located in the community’s Creative Arts Center, which also has facilities for painting, ceramics, pottery, stained glass, photography and sewing groups to name a few. All of these groups support creative endeavors for individuals of all skill levels and provide classes as well as mentoring to foster the development of those various arts and crafts.
The wood shop is well equipped with all of the high-end power tools to accommodate even the most advanced woodworkers, as well as an Axiom Pro CNC Router. The Woodworking Club has just under 200 members currently representing a wide range of experience and expertise. The club provides a variety of group and individual training programs including basic woodworking classes such as wood basics, machining rough cut lumber, basic joinery, gluing and clamping, box making and furniture repair. The club also offers regular training on CNC operations and instruction on the Vectric Software that controls the machine.
The Woodworkers support the community by repairing furniture as well as constructing items on request ranging from simple projects, such as a wheel chair ramp, to more complex furniture and decor items. We also support a variety of charity projects for United Way, local churches and day care centers as well as the Children’s Hospital and Toys for Tots.
